In compliance with Town Planning Act, Environment Act, Public Health Act as well as requirements from the Fiji Road Authority (where required), all major development applications must be submitted to the local authority (E.g. Suva City Council).

Major developments refer to projects exceeding FJD 0.5 million and/or those not meeting the zoning requirements stipulated by Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP).

The approval process will be jointly processed by the local authority and DTCP.
